international award winners
On June 6th, an International jury of designers identified the winning entries and announced the list of winners of the 2014 YCN International Student Awards which included LSAD Visual Communication’s Jason Hunter, Mairead Murphy and Robbie Gannon. The students have been awarded for their work on the Confused.com brief and are in the company of students from some of the top Design Colleges and Universities across the United Kingdom and Europe.
Jason, Mairead and Robbie – now Year 4 students of the Visual Communication Course attended the YCN Student Award Ceremony in London on Wednesday 10th September 2014.
Fiona Creedon, Head of Advertising at Confused.com and one of the judges on the Confused.com brief stated: “The YCN Awards provides a fantastic opportunity for students to work with leading businesses on real marketing briefs. Confused.com is delighted to be involved with supporting the creative talent of the future and I was blown away by the high standard of work submitted. Congratulations to the team of Visual Communication students from LSAD, LIT for producing an innovative and unique response to the Confused.com brief.”
The award winning work will be showcased in the pages of the 2014 YCN Student Annual. 15,000 copies of the Annual will be distributed across education, and across the creative industries. The Awards enable all those who take part to benefit from engaging with thoroughly contemporary communication challenges, and gives increased confidence, visibility and employability to all those that excel within them.
