Television channel idents are used in between shows, clearly branding the channel and advertising a channels output. Nowadays, many networks have complete sets of idents based on a central theme or branding element, and these idents build the basis for the rest of the appearance of the channel.
Year 3 Students were required to design a tv ident and a tv sting for a TV channel, publicising its summer season programming which would broadcast after 9pm for an adult audience. The Students were given the opportunity to design for one of the following channels; The Horror Channel, The SYFY Channel or the Comedy Channel.
