the pursuit of creative thinking
The pursuit of creative thinking is not always a linear, straight-forward process. There are many trials, frustrations and distractions to overcome along the way. Time-wasting and procrastination are unavoidable but are often viewed in a negative light. Recent studies show that procrastination leads to more innovative ideas; so instead of feeling guilty for ignoring impending tasks, the delay can be accepted as a normal, integral part of the process.
Working across a range of print and screen, this project considers the notions, ephemera and content which distract us from a work presentation, a looming deadline or a personal goal. The project observes the humorous, sometimes frustrating and ultimately rewarding path to creativity.
