unplug and get your hands dirty
As technology advances, activism has been replaced with social media online activism otherwise known as slacktivism. In the project, the question is asked, if social media’s slacktivism is an effective tool which can be used successfully in political and social activism to create change?
The principle of activism has been lost to online campaigns that are more about narcissism and imitation than making a real change. The purpose of the project is to encourage people to get back out on the streets marching and chanting rather than clicking a mouse and feeling like they have contributed to a cause. The target audience for the project are people that use social media and people that are interested in activist campaigns.
