synesthesia

Synesthesia is the union of two or more senses. A stimulus in one sensory modality (eg. vision) involuntarily elicits an experience in another modality (eg. taste).Synesthesia is automatic. Synesthetes often believe that everyone uses their senses like they do, which is not the case. Most synesthetes report that their experiences are pleasant or neutral, although, in rare cases, synesthetes report that their experiences can lead to a level of sensory overload.

I created this motion piece and editorial to notify people about synesthesia and how it can aid creativity and memory. The red and black rectangle shapes are added throughout bought pieces of work. They are Synesthesia and interrupt the viewer, the same way Synesthesia interrupts the senses. The theme throughout the piece is to create a fast paced view on life that is beautiful, while highlighting that something unusual and different is happening throughout.
