techostress

The creation of computer software, hardware, telecommunications, and the internet has affected society by giving people new productivity options and changing the way in which they work. As technology evolves, people using technology will also change.

Technostress is the phenomenon of end users experiencing stress due to information and communication overload. Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) are responsible for increased levels of stress and have blurred the divide between work and other aspects of life. Leaving no time to think or reflect.

Everything is instant. Therefore, it is important from a sociological perspective to address the issue of technostress for two reasons: the health concerns attributed to stress and the productivity losses of people experiencing the burnout effect. This projects aims to highlight the adverse effects of over-consuming information and to encourage people to live a life less influenced by technology. The project attempts to draw people’s attention away from the digital world to reality, through a printed publication.
