ISTD Student Awards 2013

The International Society of Typographic Designers (ISTD), is a professional body run by and for typographers, graphic designers and educators. Membership is awarded to practicing designers, educators and students who demonstrate, through the quality of their work, their commitment to achieving the highest possible quality of visual communication.

The ISTD’s annual student Assessment offers students the opportunity to gain ISTD membership. The 2013 student Assessment Awards event took place on Friday, 5th July at the Pentagram’s offices in London and the awards were presented by Angus Hyland. In 2013 five graduating students of the Visual Communications course at the Limerick School of Art and Design LIT were awarded ISTD membership. The award winning students are in the company of students from some of the top art colleges and universities across the United Kingdom, the Middle East, South Africa and Australasia.

While Sam Keehan, who worked on the ‘Circus’ brief, got his award for his proposed visual identity and screen application.
