What does it mean to be Irish? Using strong typography and photography this project looks at the unique connection between Ireland and America in a new light. A combination of people’s personal stories, online articles, official documents, quotes and personal photography make this piece a collection of opinions from the Irish and American cultures. The tone of the booklet at times accentuates the clash of cultures and at others times the harmony. The intention of the booklet is to especially expose the difference between the idyllic images people have of Ireland versus the realities of the country so that the reader can leave with their own opinion of how to view the connection between Ireland and America.
