After graduating with a first class BA in Visual Communications from Limerick School of Art & Design, Ciara spent 9 successful years as a Graphic Designer / Design Director in Dublin City developing identity programmes and publications for some of the best known public and private organisations including Dublin City Council, Clerys, The Irish Greyhound Board, ICAD & The LAB, Dublin City Council’s purpose built arts facility.
Her work has been repeatedly awarded & published at national and international level – including a Gold in the European Design Awards, the Grand Prix at IDI, numerous ICAD bells and published in Communication Arts.
In 2009 Ciara started her own design company. Associate is a creative agency offering services in visual communications, specialising in identity, print and web design to clients in Ireland and abroad. The company is built around a core team of experienced director/designers complemented by a network of Irish creative professionals, including copywriters, photographers, stylists, film makers and developers.
Since setting up the business, Ciara has been on the board of ICAD as Vice President, exhibited work in Rome & Dublin and recently took part in this year’s OFFSET in the Second Room in conversation with Eamon Spelman (Limerick School of Art & Design) discussing setting up and building the studio over the last few years.

What advice would you give to students who are beginning their studies?
Enjoy the freedom to be as creative as you can be and have fun doing it.

Keep passionate about design and always believe in yourself & your ability.
